Engineered Censorship

This series examines how government-funded systems function as buffers against accountability. By circulating responsibility between institutions and the state, these structures produce a form of soft censorship. The artist reflects this condition through self-censored communications, embedding institutional constraint directly into the work. Artist claims this is not accidental it is part of government process

A body of work built from communications that never quite speak. The artist manipulates documents. sentences are partially erased, blacked out, redacted, or rewritten mid-thought.

The erasures are not imposed by an external censor; they are performed by the artist in advance. What remains is language shaped by anticipation: anticipation of deflection. The work exposes how accountability is dissolved through bureaucratic circulation.
